As it grew into a leading garment manufacturer, the company expanded its operations in 2012 by setting up its first overseas branch in Yangon, Myanmar - China's first officially registered apparel company in the country. Today, Qingdao Handsome operates a diverse network of subsidiaries, including Handsome Import & Export Co., Myanmar Handsome, and Myanmar Dongtai Garment, among others, for production, design, and trade. The branch, Myanmar Handsome Garment, founded in 2012, spans 5,800 square meters and employs over 800 workers. Myanmar Dongtai Garment, which began operations in 2014, occupies a larger space of 8,600 square meters with over 1,100 employees. Equipped with 12 production lines, it specializes in the manufacture of wool coats, fake fur jackets, uniforms, padded, and down jackets. Notably, Dongtai passed the Amfori-BSCI audit in 2019, highlighting its commitment to ethical business practices.
