SMIC School warmly welcomes you! Located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai, it is a non-profit institution established in 2001 by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), a leading semiconductor high-tech company in China.

Currently, the school hosts over 2,700 students from 25 different countries and nearly 340 staff members, half of whom are from overseas. SMIC School provides education from pre-kindergarten to grade 12, consisting of two academic tracks: the English Track follows an American-based curriculum, while the Chinese Track uses local curricula guided by the Shanghai Education Commission. The Language Center offers outstanding ESL, CSL, and third language training.

The pursuit of excellence in holistic development is the goal of SMIC School. We believe that schools have the responsibility to instill proper values in students, and our faculty nurtures students' love for lifelong learning while helping them build character, integrity, compassion, and understanding. We aim to foster a happy environment where students can grow into valuable global citizens. The genuine care for each other makes SMIC a big family, and this is our tradition. We are student-centered and appreciate the uniqueness in each student. We believe everyone is endowed with potential for eventual use. SMIC also offers excellent academic programs that stimulate students' creativity and innovation. High school students have access to many AP courses, and SMIC School is an authorized AP and SAT testing center.
