江苏惠民交通设备有限公司成立于1995年，是国家认可的高新技术企业，同时被评为江苏省民营科技企业，注册资本高达8000万元，占地面积约为5.3万平方米，其中标准厂房面积达到2.3万平方米，综合办公楼建筑面积超过3000平方米。目前，公司总员工人数为600多人，其中包括高级工程师20多名，工程技术人员90多名，以及高级技工100多名。公司设有专业研发中心和质量检测中心，并配备先进的生产设备和检测仪器，拥有各类通用及专用设备共计300多台。
公司已通过ISO9001、ITF16949、ISO14001、OHSAS18001等国际管理体系认证，自主研发生产的产品获得了80多项专利。产品主要分为BRT系列、轨道交通系列、客车配件系列三大类别。
自2005年涉足快速公交(BRT)行业以来，公司多次承担并成功完成了国家重点BRT项目的建设工作，包括北京奥运工程、济南全运会工程和广州亚运会工程。公司产品广泛应用于杭州、厦门、宜昌、郑州、兰州、银川、连云港、枣庄、台中、舟山、金华、呼和浩特、抚州等多个城市的BRT系统，多次获得业主的高度评价。其中，常州市快速公交(BRT)屏蔽门工程荣获“詹天佑奖”，这是中国土木工程领域的最高荣誉，也是国内首个在公共交通领域获得该奖项的项目。2018年，公司的BRT产品成功走向国际市场，成功出口至巴基斯坦。
自2012年起，公司进入轨道交通领域，参与建设了多个轨道交通项目，包括株机淮安有轨电车项目、株机云南弥勒项目、沈阳新阳光公司长春有轨电车项目等，以及成都地铁屏蔽门项目。公司还是郑州宇通、苏州金龙、厦门金龙旅行车、厦门联合金龙、中通客车、安凯汽车、安徽江淮客车、扬州亚星等二十多家大型客车制造商的标准配套单位，并多次荣获优质供应商称号。公司客车产品远销韩国、印度、巴基斯坦、芬兰、冰岛、哈萨克斯坦、哥斯达黎加、泰国、越南、埃及、秘鲁、阿根廷、摩洛哥、俄罗斯等国家和地区。
