Engineer to design and develop modifications to the Business Unit (BU) products. In this role, you will lead design of BiPass

solution connector product for all major data center companies.

Essential

Functions:

Develop new mechanical products of

connectors. Support interface of

Molex products to customer and partner company systems.

Lead new product development efforts

executing Product Development Phase Gate Process from development of the

product concept through volume production while adhering to project

schedule Design includes all aspects of product development such as: 3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, engineering

changes, technical documents, etc.

Work with manufacturing engineering to

develop manufacturing processes utilizing the latest 3D CAD modeling

techniques and other Design for Manufacturability (DFM) tools.

Use risk

reduction tools to perform TA, FEA, model simulation etc. for design analysis

is expected. Utilize a working knowledge of material costs and manufacturing

processes to determine the impact on various design attributes. Provides input

to the DFMEA analysis of the product as required.

Performs

design validation activities to ensure that design meets the specifications of

the customer, UL requirements, and reliability testing.

Provide

technical support to customers, suppliers, and inside product marketing

personnel.

Required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical

Engineering.

1-3+ product

design experience in electronic products (preferring from connector industries)

·

Good writing

and spoken English

·

Experienced

with Product Development Process (PDP)

·

Understanding

of Tolerance analysis, dFMEA, FEA.

·

Knowledge on

component design (injection, diecasting, sheet metal)

·

Attention to

details, be creative, good interpersonal skills to work effectively with

internal cross functional teams and external customers

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

with Minor courses or degree in Electrical Engineering.

3+ years’ design and development

experience on data connector products.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

Extensive knowledge high precision sheet

metal design.

In depth knowledge of die casting and

plastic injection molding.

Material and manufacturing knowledge such

as stamping and forming sheet metal.

Proficient in tolerance analysis.

Adept in solid modeling experience to

generate 3D models & 2D drawings and knowledge of drafting standards

Ability to work independently and to effectively

communicate with global cross functional teams.
