- Leading the feasibility study and design to deliver against the goals.

- Customer value capture to understand the true requirements, making delivery of new products or business service valued to customer.

- Maintains continual awareness of design requirements and priorities to proactively initiate technical support to customer, leading problems solving.

- Cost awareness, keep relentless value engineering

Prototype development and fabrication

- Convert concepts to drawing and CAD with thoroughly analysis and tests.

- Quick movement to build required motor engineering sample and prototype.

- Tests engineering and validation plan development to complete a thorough validation, meet the required standards and requirements

- Tests result review, root cause analysis to solve the problem/failure if any,

- Continuous improvement of design or test to deliver a better product valued for both customer and manufacture.

- Process capability analysis and problems solving for manufacture/quality/customer support.

Data capture and knowledge management

- Responsible for capturing and recording accurate, clear test data for presentation and analysis.

- Stores data/knowledge in an appropriate form for future reuse.

- Guidance of engineers to solve technical problems, knowledge sharing for team capability improvement

- Keeps up-to-date with internal and external knowledge of practices and standards that can improve technical support delivery.

- Safety awareness through the design or change assessment, familiar with related regulations and keep it satisfied.

- Take all practicable steps to ensure self-safety at work

- Ensure that all actions or inactions don’t cause harm to any other person

Qualifications & experience:

Essential:

- 8+ years mechanical design experience

- 3+ years team/projecttechinical leader experience

- Experience of technical evaluation and feasibility study

Desirable;

- Motor industry experience

- Injection moulded experience

- Motor/Laundry/home Appliance industry experience
