Major responsibilities:
1. Cost Down and Price Negotiation:
- Bundle group-wide purchasing volumes and generate EOS through consolidation and negotiation.
- Create environment in order to achieve constant and continuous cost reductions.
- Continuous benchmarking of current sources in order to create competitive environment assuring optimal costs.
- Reduction of landed material costs and provide full support to the reduction of overall business and process costs.
2. Commodity Strategy and SRM:
- Create global market transparency within allocated commodities and make sure that commodity strategy is existing.
- Communicate strategy to stakeholders within Purchasing and other functions (stakeholders) of the organisation.
- Assure that strategy is well known and “lived”.
- Use market knowledge gathered through continuous market screening/research to develop strategy on regular base.
- Drive development of competitive supplier portfolio in conjunction with material group team (technical buyers, operative buyers).
- Perform supplier relationship management.
- Owns strategic responsibility for assigned material groups from handling and/or spend point of view, independently executes strategic process improvements, saving or reporting projects within the global purchasing organization. Acts independently and self-confident in a truly global environment and deals with more than one Business divisions.
3. Supplier Development:
- Continuous assessment and development of whole supplier base with focus on Quality, logistic- and service performance as well as customer service level. Assure continuous performance improvement in all segments.
4. Support Local Supply Chains:
- Improve operational efficiency in purchasing.
- Support local supply chains as main escalator in case of supplier non/low performance.
- Risk management including contracting and implementation with suppliers.
- Implementation of logistic concepts and support of second sourcing activities led by technical buyers.
5. Quality and Innovation:
- Proactive planning and execution of supplier Audits as Lead Auditor.
- Generation of innovation via recognition of new and important technologies with suppliers as well as transfer to Zumtobel-Group technical and marketing decision makers.
6. Projects:
- Take lead and support projects in Purchasing/SCM area. Act as purchasing representative in global projects.
7. Standardisation:
- Coordination of the commodity team activities and realisation of global sourcing initiatives. Drive supplier standardisation in the commodity and support component standardisation led by technical buyers.
8. Make or Buy:
- Drive and perform make or buy decisions in the area of responsibility in order to optimise commodity purchasing process based on total costs of ownership.
9. Legal:
- Legal responsibility within commodity, assess legal risks and assure that contracts are existing and cover risks for Zumtobel-Group. Assure supplier compliance according to Code of Conduct and continuous improvement with regards to supplier sustainability.
10. Budget:
- Responsibility for Material cost budget in respective commodities.
11. Sustainability:
- Full contribution and responsibility to assure sustainability targets with all suppliers in dedicated material groups. Develop suppliers towards C2C requirements and Full material declaration standards.
Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years professional experience in similar position and product/component sourcing roles
- Bachelor Degree Holder
- Specific solid technical knowledge, source network in PCB, electronic components (film capacitors).
- Ability to develop of potential and competitive suppliers in term of quality, price, delivery and service
- Advanced English language skills
- Computer knowledge in MS Excel, MS Word and in depth knowledge with ERP (SAP Purchasing Module)
- Legal base skills and contract knowledge
- Good commercial sense and ethical always
