The Industrial Projects Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing industrial projects from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Key responsibilities include designing production systems, managing timelines, coordinating teams, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
1. Project Planning & Execution
61 Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, procurement, production) to ensure alignment.
61 Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
61 Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
2. Technical Design & Optimization
61 Design and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, and workflows using industrial engineering principles (e.g., lean manufacturing, Six Sigma).
61 Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new projects or process upgrades.
61 Integrate automation, digitalization, or IoT technologies to improve productivity.
3. Cost Control & Resource Management
61 Optimize utilization of labor, machinery, and materials to reduce waste.
61 Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure cost-effective solutions.
4. Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
61 Lead or participate in multiple projects to solve technical challenges.
61 Communicate project updates to management team.
5. Continuous Improvement
61 Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
61 Propose and implement process improvements to enhance throughput and quality.
Qualifications & Skills
61 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
61 Experience: 3–5 years of experience in industrial project management, manufacturing engineering, or process optimization.
61 Technical Skills:
61 Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), project management tools (MS Project, Primavera), and data analysis (Excel, Minitab).
61 Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
61 Soft Skills:
61 Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
61 Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
61 Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or CEM (Certified Energy Manager) are advantageous.
