· Assist in providing the best environment possible within the philosophy of the school.

· Assist in the delivery of effective learning experiences.

· Assist in the mounting of displays (including children’s work) as per school policy.

· Be responsible for the welfare of the children in the class.

· Assist in the induction of new children into class life as appropriate.

· Supervise activities as directed by the teacher.

· Share supervision of children in the school during break periods.

· Use personal expertise to enhance children’s learning experiences.

· Secretarial duties (including filing and photocopying).

· To advise as appropriate in the compilation of reports by the teacher.

· To assist in answering queries from parents if, for any reason, the teacher is not present.

Attendance

· Be on duty between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and other hours as reasonably required by the school.

· Attend formal sessions (Parent-Teacher Conferences. Open Evening, etc.) when the school is open to parents.

· Attend the general staff meeting held on the day before the start of each term and other staff meetings deemed appropriate.

Requirements

· Bachelor degree or above.

· At least 1 year related working experience in the same role.
