Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Product development: 10% of position responsibility
Product development – Coordinating between buyers in HQ and vendors in sharing the required details like tech pack, spec sheet, block pattern, trim details, actual color & quality, etc., and explaining our expectations/importance of sample development for laydown meeting/order confirmation meeting. Work with vendors to get the initial price quote properly filled with all details in Max open cost sheet format along with development sample.
B. Costing / Negotiation skills: 25% of position responsibility
Cross costing - Basics / Seasonal Basics & Product Development within the pool of vendors for further reduction in FOB. Further price negotiation to fit into our target price once the style is selected in laydown meeting and get Max open cost sheet updated with confirmed price and details.
C. Sample Approval:30% of position responsibility
Sample Approval – Need to approve Fit & TOP sample within 48 hours –
o Check garment aesthetics like fabric quality, hand feel, color & print matching, trims & accessories like labelling.
o Check key body measurements & check the fitting on the body form.
o check the GPT - garment test report
o Upload sample comments in PLM.
o Also schedule & conduct a video conference of the fit session with buyer in HQ if required.
D. TNA Management: 30% of position responsibility
TNA – Maintain a detailed tracker to track the status of orders confirmed and update HQ team weekly with a heads-up on styles which are sliding on delivery.
E. Vendor Evaluation & Training: 5% of position responsibility
Vendor Evaluation – Evaluating new vendors approaching for business, review their product capabilities presentation, coordinating with our QC team to audit their factory capabilities, work on cross costing to assess feasible to fit in our required price point. If everything is workable, propose to HQ team depending on business needs and onboard the vendor if buyer confirms to start business.
New vendor training in merchandising / sample approval process / PLM / SCP & Max Quality systems.
Responsibilities:
61 Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Support vendors to fill in the open cost sheets for basic styles in PLM – Product Lifecycle Management software.
HQ team buying trip arrangements and traveling along buyers, Inspiration Sample Shopping & Trim shopping in local markets.
Problem Solving - Clarifying vendors if they have any problem/queries in our ways of working/systems/process/company initiatives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
English Communication skill – TEM-8 (Test for English Major in College English Test (CET))
Ms. Excel proficiency – Intermediate level - creating spread sheets, creating tables, Page setting, Managing page layout, filters, formula’s for sum, subtotal, average, count numbers, date, lookup functions, pivot ,charts & chart analysis, data sorting, cell formatting, data validation tools, group data, merge data, etc.,
Ms. PowerPoint – Basic level – [Creating & formatting templates, slide transition, embedding links, data, making presentations on vendor performance management, communication, analysis & infographic representation, etc.,
Ms. Outlook – Intermediate level – Configure email settings, creating, scheduling and delegating task, planning meetings, sharing & configuring calendars, signatures, formatting text, auto replies during out of office, organizing inbox, email recall, spell check before sending, conscious about attachment size, etc.
Ms. Teams – Intermediate level - Meeting Scheduler, Video conferencing, chatting, file sharing, screen sharing, recording meetings, live fitting sessions, stay connected through smartphone, etc.,

Personality – Smart, active, energetic candidate with positive attitude, receptive for assignments and very collaborative team player.
