Position Summary:
This position for Automation will be part of the Mil-Automation & Advanced Technology department, responsible for overseeing automation projects. The primary focus will be on laser welding equipment, process improvement, and troubleshooting for battery cell welding and other assembly welding processes. Experience with Scanmaster and/or LWM is highly preferred. A strong background in automation, laser technology, and manufacturing equipment development is required. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must.
Functional Competencies Required:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Material, Automation, Mechatronics, or related engineering specialties.
2. Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong communication skills.
3. Minimum 5-7 years' experience in laser welding applications including machine design, process study and on-site support.
4. Experience of equipment development and project management.
5. Knowledge and experience in programming of PLC, HMI, C++ and industrial computer control and electrical principles and control theories.
6. Basic mechanical design experience and ability of troubleshooting for automations.
7. Strong experience and theories in laser welding process.
8. Strong analytical skills, knowledge, and experience in process evaluation, using DOE, PFMEA, PPK, GR&R, statistical data analysis, risk analysis, flow layout and other related engineering methods.
9. Preferred knowledge in Lean & Six Sigma
10. Familiar with production output, yield, and quality control methodologies.
