The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for In-Wheel-Motor and Inverter mechanical design and development from A sample to SOP, including PMSM-motor, motor inverter as well as supporting the integration of motor & brake to vehicles, and will work closely with the UK engineering team to achieve motor design and engineering capabilities to meet global engineering processes, Quality-Cost-Delivery target and mass production capabilities of in-wheel motors.
-Motor and inverter mechanical design and development, mass production design release on specification, on time, on cost, and engineering quality process.
-Prepare motor&inverter assembly and sub-parts design review, design validation specification according to engineering requirement.
-Be responsible for problem solving related to design, sub-parts manufacture, motor production and test, noncompliance and respective engineering changes with systematic engineering methodologies.
-Delivery of qualified mechanical design documents including stack-ups, FEA/CFD/thermal simulation, safety analysis, design review report, 3D model, 2D drawing, 8D report.
-Be responsible for component supplier development, design for manufacture & assembly, technical review, OTS sign-off.
