Position: R&D Robotics Mechatronics Engineer

Location: Shenzhen or Shanghai, China

Report to: CTO China

Headcount: 1

Key responsibilities:

1) Development and dimensioning of mechatronic gripping systems for automation and robotics systems.

2) Successful expansion of SCHUNK-Portfolio for industrial robots, Cobots, AMR, AGV and Humanoid Robotics.

3) Testing and optimization of both developed and existing systems with a focus on electromechanical drive components.

4) Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams both internally and externally for the successful implementation of projects.

5) Working in a dynamic environment with opportunities for individual development.

6) Support in building efficient structures in research and development department.

Requirements:

1) Many years of experience in the development and dimensioning of electric drive systems, preferably in the area of robot end-effectors.

2) In-depth knowledge in small electric motors and encoders, motor controls, electric braking systems, and mechanical gears.

3) Excellent skills in the dimensioning of electromechanical drivetrains and the associated software and electronics.

4) University degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.

5) Proficiency in simulation software, preferably Matlab/Simulink or an FEM software; basic knowledge of microcontroller programming in C/C++.

6) Good English skills, both spoken and written.

7) Ability to work independently, initiative, teamwork skills, and strong communication skills.
