Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing new business opportunities to expand Tetra Pak’s market presence in the target region and categories. You will lead the development of strategic partnerships, drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored packaging solutions that meet customer needs. This role requires some understanding of the food and beverage industry, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for driving sustainable business outcomes.67
What you will do
Business Opportunity Identification
Identify emerging trends, unmet customer needs, and potential growth areas in the food and beverage sector (e.g., dairy, beverages, prepared foods) .
Evaluate market competition, customer pain points, and industry regulations to develop data-driven business strategies.
New Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Prospect and engage with key decision-makers at potential client organizations (e.g., food manufacturers, startups, regional brands) to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from initial outreach and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
Collaborate with all supporting teams to design customized solutions that align with client goals
Strategic Partnership Development
Identify and establish strategic partnerships with potential clients who have the strong alignment with Tetra Pak.
Manage partner relationships and drive it to business project or new products lunch for long-term sustainable growth.
Revenue & Growth Targets
Develop and implement business development plans to achieve annual revenue and growth targets for the region.
Monitor sales performance, analyze variances, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure target attainment.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development activities, market trends, and growth projections.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Processing,
Customer Service, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
Provide input to product development teams on customer needs and market demands to drive innovation in Tetra Pak’s packaging technologies.
We believe you have
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the food and beverage industry, packaging sector, or B2B industrial solutions.
Proven track record of successfully acquiring new clients, closing large-value contracts, and achieving revenue targets.
Experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships is highly desirable.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze market data, identify business opportunities, and develop actionable strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel domestically as required (up to 30-40% travel).
