Job Summary:
This dual-role position is responsible for driving sales growth while managing the end-to-end freight operations process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of freight forwarding, logistics solutions, and customer service excellence. This role requires balancing client acquisition with operational execution to ensure seamless logistics experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Responsibilities:
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding (air, sea, and land).
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
o Prepare and deliver customized logistics solutions and quotations to prospective clients.
o Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor analysis.
o Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
o Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
2. Operations Responsibilities:
o Coordinate and manage day-to-day freight operations from booking to delivery.
o Ensure timely execution of shipments including documentation, customs clearance, and cargo handling.
o Liaise with carriers, agents, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
o Monitor and resolve operational issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly.
o Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
o Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports for management.
Qualifications:
61 Experience:
o Minimum 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or customer service.
o Experience in pricing, quoting, and negotiations within the freight forwarding industry is a plus.
61 Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and freight management systems (TMS, ERP).
o Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
o Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Additional Requirements:
o Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
o Fluent in (Chinese and English)
Working Conditions:
o Office-based role with occasional remote work options.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
o Occasional travel may be required for meetings with clients or suppliers.
