Job Summary
The Project Engineer will manage engineering projects, reporting directly to the Project Director. This role will collaborate closely with both the Belgium and local project teams, overseeing projects from conceptual design to mass production. The core objective is to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet strict quality standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
61 Project management 81 Budget, timeline and quality control.
61 Main contact with Belgium team.
61 Drive mechanical design reviews processes to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards.
61 Arrange prototyping and testing processes to validate product performance.
61 Coordinate pilot runs to streamline transition to mass production.
61 Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; proactively resolve issues to prevent delays.
61 Collaborate with leader and the Belgium team to make key project decisions.
61 Evaluate the technical capabilities of mechanical component suppliers and provide input to the design team for optimal supplier alignment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
61 Bachelor’s degree or above, Major in Mechanical Design/Engineering.
61 3 + years’ relevant working experience as a project engineer/mechanical design engineer.
61 Good knowledge of metal fabrication/surface treatment / CNC / stamping / bending process.
61 Excellent leadership and team- management skills. PMP or related certification is advantageous.
61 Fluent at verbal and written English.
61 Excellent learning agility and logical thinking abilities.
61 Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-cultural teams.
