The aim and meaning of the position's mission
The role is responsible for all what is related to Fabric and ensuring production will be delivered on time. This includes new fabric development following the brief from the developers in France; sourcing and supplier management reaching best industrial prices through in-depth knowledge of fabric costing; negotiating as well as solving issues related to products; and ensuring all fabric development in time so as to deliver on time. Meanwhile in coordination with the Sales planner , in charge to enable production elasticity through capacity booking monitoring with the vendors.
Responsibilities
-Source fabric according to the product manager / buyer request
-Source fabric based on the knowledge of the brand and the market
-Price negotiation
-Manage fabric stock, availability of the fabric as per the needs
-Manage the performance of the fabric suppliers
-Offer innovative fabrics
Job requirments:
-Manage the priorities
-Manage the good service to the buyers/ product managers/ merchandisers (delivery, feed-back on time, technical skills, negotiation skills..)
-Good networks of fabric mills
-Reactivity
- Source innovative fabric and products
