61 Design and engineer thermal forming molds based on 3D CAD data, with consideration for manufacturability and performance.

61 Create 2D waterjet nesting programs to optimize material usage and cut efficiency.

61 Perform FEA analysis for:

o Simulating the forming process

o Evaluating stress, strain, and structural integrity of final parts

o Providing actionable feedback to customers to improve and optimize their designs

61 Interface with customers and internal teams to ensure engineering solutions align with performance requirements and expectations.

61 Lead or contribute to hands-on mold tuning and thermal forming trials.

61 Collaborate closely with the machine shop during the tool fabrication process.

61 Apply DOE (Design of Experiments) principles to evaluate and optimize process variables.

61 Understand and apply structure-property relationships in thermoplastic composites.

61 Operate and troubleshoot forming press equipment, understanding thermal forming dynamics and polymer crystallization behavior.

61 Manage engineering projects, including:

o Planning and tracking deliverables

o Coordinating across departments

o Meeting deadlines under tight schedules and pressure

o Maintaining on-time delivery commitments

Experience and/or Education Requirements:

61 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.

61 0-3 years of experience in a CAD/FEA engineering role within composites, plastics, or thermoforming industries.

61 Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX).

61 Skilled in FEA tools (e.g., Abaqus, Ansys) for both forming simulation and structural/stress analysis.

61 Experience with waterjet cutting and nesting software.

61 Strong understanding of thermoplastic material behavior, thermal forming, and polymer crystallization.

61 Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of meeting critical milestones under pressure.

61 Excellent communication skills; able to interface effectively with customers, machine shops, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

61 Experience with continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastics.

61 Familiarity with automated forming processes and press control systems.

61 Background in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

61 Primary language is Mandrin and English.
