POSITION SUMMARY
Sensata Technologies is a leading industrial technology company that develops sensors, sensor-based solutions, including controllers and software, and other mission-critical products to create valuable business insights for customers and end users.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced NPD（New Product Development） Quality Engineer based in our site in Wuhu.
In this role, you will be responsible for making sure we comply with Sensata’s New Product Development and launch APQP process and customer’s specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
61 Lead problem solving activities cross functionally within Sensata and the customer.
61 Coach and mentor Operational Quality Engineers at make site.
61 Monitor post launch phase with make site Operational Quality Engineers to capture lessons learned and effect a controlled handover.
61 Designs, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
61 Conducts the planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution.
61 Handles design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.
61 Conducts analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
61 Develops methods for testing, sampling, and training.
61 May act as internal consultant by providing technical guidance on most complex projects
REQUIREMENTS
61 A university degree required (i.e., bachelor’s degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
61 Hands on working experience with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA)
61 VDA
6.3 & IATF Quality Management Systems knowledge and or internal auditor experience
61 Shop floor / hands on experience as a Quality Engineer, with minimum of 5 years’ job experience
61 Program management skills (ability to manage time and resources to accomplish tasks)
61 Ability to work independently and within our teams.
61 Capability to drive positive change in our processes and products.
61 Robust communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
61 New Product Launch experience, preferred in electronic components, and 1 + yrs job experience.
61 Ability to travel to individual Sensata, customer or sub supplier sites.
61 Hold team accountable to comply with Sensata New Product Development / Agile processes.
61 Capture, document, apply Lessons Learned from NPD launches (Good and /or Poor experiences). Use them to build a stronger NPD system and proactive approach for future launches.
61 MS Office, Oracle / Agile, Customer Web Portal capabilities.
