Assistant Quality & Production Manager (Footwear)

1. Responsible for all quality and production affairs in assigned factory.

2. Work closely with IE (Industrialization Engineer), PPP (planning, production & procurement) to ensure factories production and delivery as per scheduled.

3. Educates suppliers with Salomon business needs and objectives, maintains a positive factory relationship via day to day communication and positive participation.

4. Actively coordinate and successful fulfil the assigned transfer projects from the Indus source to receiving source.

5. Work closely with HQ quality team for quality topics.

6. Ensure Salomon footwear quality requirement is fully respected and objective met in assigned factories.

7. Ensure Salomon delivery objective is met in all assigned factories.

8. Ensure products are industrialized (commercialized) and manufactured in mass production in accordance with design, Fit and specification requirements.

#2 Key Responsibility Areas

1. Focus on Tech packages transfer after IES stage PASS， and go through Preview/SMS/ TES /FES/ FSR to Production trial and bulk production successfully.

2. FST tracking from SMS stage and FTR tracking from TES stage. Ensure fitting samples quality same as 1st source.

3. Provide suggestion for improvement (or problem solving) in technical procedure or equipment selection & set up in pursuing for

1) Secure consistency of production quality & lead time,

2) Cost minimize and/or

3) Simplify the production process.

4. Organize teardown meetings in different stages and provide reports to Senior regularly.

5. Close monitor 1st production of new models in production factories or 1st production of existing models on new lines through material swatch control to final inspection, to ensure SOP and quality requirement/standards fully respected and right 1st time on 1st production.

6. Daily audit on incoming material inspection, lab test, manufacturing process and final inspection control to ensure Amer Sports quality requirement/standard fully understood, respected and met, and factories quality system working well.

7. Close collaboration with PPP team and factories to ensure accurate and timely communication of order status and production issues.

8. Works with factories and manager closely to improve quality and manufacturing efficiencies through weekly and monthly KPI.

#3 Key Competencies

1. Proven quality management skills.

2. Fluent in both spoken and written English.

3. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.

5. Visual capability – Normal and without color blindness.

#4 Work Experience

1. Minimum of 10 years of work experience in quality management within a relevant industry.

#5 Academic Requirement

1. Bachelor's degree preferred in industrial engineering or industrial management or a related field.

2. Formal training as an ISO 9000 Quality System Auditor is also preferred.

1. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the (Senior) Quality & Production Engineer position.
