Position Title:
Social and Sustainability Compliance Officer 社会和可持续发展合规专员
A Social and Sustainability Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the company adheres to social and environmental regulations and standards.
The role involves:
- Policy Development
Contributing to the creation, implementation, and revision of policies and procedures to ensure ethical operations and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Compliance Monitoring
Developing an effective legal compliance program, creating internal controls, and auditing processes to identify weaknesses. Keep the follow-up of the corresponding certificates for the sustainable materials of each PO. Verify all the documents are the requested ones.
- Training and Education
Educating employees on regulations and industry practices to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Risk Assessment
Evaluating business activities, such as supplier contracts, for compliance risks and managing audit remediation processes.
- Sustainability Initiatives
Driving sustainable action plans, managing environmental practices, and building awareness within the company.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborating with external auditors, HR, and other entities to create strategic partnerships and manage compliance issues.
- Crisis Management
Creating plans to manage crisis or compliance violations.
The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to details, strategic planning abilities, and a passion for social responsibility and sustainability. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in social responsibility and sustainability programs are required.
1, University graduate with minimum 5 years relevant work experience. Have work experience in 3rd party auditing is preferable.
2, Familiar with local labor laws, international directives, standards, code of conduct etc. that is applicable to manufacturing in Asia.
3, Experience with manufacturing practices in Asia.
4, Competence in analyzing / interpreting social compliance audit data.
5, Ability to recommend and devise improvement plans / schedules.
6, Ability to analyses and interpret data.
7, Good interpersonal, organizational and coordinating skills.
8, Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to drive results.
9, High ethical standards.
10, Fluently written and spoken English and Mandarin.
11, Familiar with MS-office (word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint).
