Senior Mechanical Engineer

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organization. Our customers are in China, Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia. You will be working in Shanghai facility. Assist in product R&D, commissioning, and testing.

Mission:

Your mission is to Mechanically Design & Engineer individual projects to produce high quality customer solutions utilizing Atlas Copco standards and best practices.

You will be responsible for:

61 The Mechanical design, (SolidWorks 3D CAD), and documentation of our projects

61 Understanding customers mechanical specifications/protocols

61 Know how to design with the best Ergonomic practices.

61 Know how to design with the best Safety practices.

61 Familiar with Atlas Copco fastening tool.

61 Regularly sort out problems, output test and analysis reports, summarize and report the project and submit risks.

61 Promote the rectification after testing and carry out the acceptance after rectification.

61 Responsible for archiving and managing technical archives, ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of technical data.

61 Make engineering drawings, sort out BOM and related technical documentation according to project needs and distribute them to other departments.

61 Working closely with Project Management Dept

61 Working closely with Controls Engineering Dept

61 Working closely with Production Control Dept

61 Support Installation Team during Start-Up at Customer

61 Familiar with product R&D process and able to independently complete new product development tasks

61 Develop suppliers to provide quality products and also follow/maintain Atlas Copco best practises.

61 Participate and be responsible for the Internal PA.

61 Support Installation Team during Start-Up at Customer

61 Knowledge transfer to Engineers, providing professional assistance and technical advice.

61 Handling most complex and sensitive projects/designs

61 Assisting in solving complex issues/problems which require professional level input

61 Performing solution development for complex projects

61 Assisting Team Leader running Mechanical Design Department

This position reports to Team Leader Screw Feeding Engineering ICA.

Experience Requirements

61 The successful candidate should have experience in mechanical design.

61 Experience in design and manufacturing of special solutions and understanding customer needs.

61 Must be competent: At least 8 years working experience in design or testing automation equipment in 3C consumer electronics, medical and pharmaceutical industries.

61 Nice to have: Experience in Automatic tightening.

61 Proactive, practical, hardworking, good communication and coordination skills and teamwork spirit

Knowledge

61 Knowledge of Automatic tightening or feeding system are a plus.

61 Understanding and interest in customer applications

61 Analytical problem-solving skills.

61 Ability to question the way we do things to find a better way.

61 Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD software

Education Requirements

61 Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering

61 Major in mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, electrical automation or related
