Job Description
In your new role you will:
61Lead the end - to - end hardware design process for power semiconductor - integrated systems, including residential PV inverters, energy storage converters (PCS), PV optimizers, and balcony energy storage units. Include Schematic and PCB design and hardware optimization.
61Help to define hardware design specifications and technical requirements based on market needs, application scenarios (e.g., residential rooftop PV, small - scale home energy storage), and power semiconductor performance characteristics (such as switching speed, voltage/current rating, and efficiency).
61Conduct feasibility studies and technical trade - off analyses for new hardware designs, ensuring alignment with product goals (e.g., high conversion efficiency, compact form factor, long operational lifespan) and industry standards.
61Validate the hardware, analyze test data (including efficiency curves, transient response, temperature distribution, and EMC test results) to identify hardware performance bottlenecks, optimize design parameters (such as component values, PCB trace widths, and heat sink design), and ensure prototypes meet or exceed design specifications.
61Resolve hardware technical issues during prototype development and validation, such as power semiconductor switching losses, thermal runaway risks, EMC interference, and voltage spike problems, by leveraging deep power electronics expertise and collaborating with power semiconductor R&D engineers.
61Collaborate closely with the software team to define hardware - software interfaces and support software integration and debugging, ensuring seamless operation between hardware and control algorithms
61Work with the product management team to provide technical input for product roadmaps, market requirements documents (MRDs), and cost - target setting, based on hardware design complexity, component availability, and power semiconductor application potential.
61Provide technical support to internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing) and external customers (if applicable) on power semiconductor hardware application issues, including design recommendations, performance optimization tips, and failure analysis.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
61Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
61Minimum of 5 years of hands - on hardware design experience in power electronics, with a focus on residential PV systems, energy storage systems (ESS), PV optimizers, or balcony energy storage solutions.
61Proven track record of leading end - to - end hardware development projects (from concept to mass production) for power semiconductor - based systems, with experience in designing high - efficiency power converters (e.g., DC/DC, DC/AC) using power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, SiC, GaN).
61Familiarity with the technical characteristics and application requirements of power semiconductors is a must.
61Proficiency in power electronics hardware design tools: Schematic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro), PCB layout tools (with expertise in high - power, high - frequency PCB design, EMC optimization, and thermal management), and simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, PLCES for thermal simulation).
61Deep understanding of power converter topologies commonly used in PV/ESS applications (e.g., Buck/Boost, LLC resonant converter, DAB, full - bridge/half - bridge inverter, MPPT circuits) and their design principles, component selection criteria, and performance optimization methods.
61Ability to conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting using test equipment such as oscilloscopes (with high - voltage probes), power analyzers, thermal imager etc.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with wide - bandgap (WBG) semiconductors (SiC, GaN) application in PV/ESS systems is highly preferred.
2. Familiarity with digital power control technologies (e.g., digital PWM controllers, FPGA/MCU - based control) for power converters is an advantage.
3.Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for power electronics hardware (e.g., component substitution, design simplification) without compromising performance and reliability.
