Digital Business Services (DBS)
HSBC Digital Business Services is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. We combine global expertise and technology to help keep us thriving in the competition.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
1. Responsible for the Technology projects delivery to meet the business requirements within the agreed schedules
2. Conduct the system development, SIT, UAT, implementation and post-release activities with clear documentation supplemented
3. Provide the application support to production and work with business users on the queries in the production application
4. Work directly with various stakeholders stakeholders (Business, Technology, Risk & Compliance and Vendors) to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the rollout
5. Establish a good relationship and work collaboratively with Global / Regional system owner and support teams
6. Ensure strict adherence to group policy, group compliance of all internal controls and external regulations
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
1. Bachelor or above degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline, with equivalent experience in software engineering discipline
2. 7 years or above on system/application development and support working experience
3. Solid technical skills in Linux, Cloud and Oracle platforms
4. Proven technical experience on shell scripts, Kubernetes, Kafka, API, Java, Python would be a strong advantage
5. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools such as Git/GitHub, G3, Jenkins, Maven, etc. and monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk
6. Familiar to production support processes like Change, Incident, and Problem management processes
7. Proven knowledge in Core Banking System, Lending System and Wealth Management System would be a strong advantage
8. Capable of working under pressure and effectively managing priorities to meet tight timelines
9. Experience in using JIRA / Confluence to manage projects and work with stakeholders would be an advantage
10. Experience in collaborating with global teams of different time zones
11. Experiences in leading and coaching less experience team members would be an added advantage
12. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
13. Understanding of recent technologies such as AI, LLM, Web3 would be an advantage
