- 至少10年在金属制造环境中担任制造工程师职位的经验,或相关教育和经验的结合;
- 熟悉冲压、焊接压铸,机械加工,装配,涂装,塑料,PCBA,电机等五金工艺,具备丰富的现场管理经验;
- 熟练掌握PFMEA(过程失效模式和效应分析)和控制计划方法;
- 具备良好的项目管理和团队协作能力,能够独立解决问题;
- 良好的故障处理和问题解决能力,促进生产过程的持续改进;
- 具备执行可制造性/装配性评审设计的能力(DFM/A);
- 具备优秀的英语沟通能力,能够进行商务交流和技术讨论;
【工作职责】
GENERAL PURPOSE:
To assure continuous supplier improvement in product as well as processes and provide technical manufacturing support to all levels of stakeholders ranging from the Asia Pacific team, product development, and functional peers as well as supplier partners.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILTIES:
Production Part Approval Process (New Product Introduction).
The Supplier Development Engineers serve as the PRIMARY responsible party for ensuring part/process capability and compliance within the LegrandAV team. The following duties and accountabilities apply to this aspect of the Supplier Development Engineer’s responsibilities:
> Perform all manufacturing design reviews and serve as technical representative (through internal or external process expertise) for approving all new product/part designs.
> Facilitate continuous improvement and manufacturability improvements from supplier partners on a continual basis.
> Develop control plans for all components/assemblies appropriate to the risks utilizing FMEA methodologies.
> Develop risk-based product and process auditing plans and train inspection/audit personnel on execution as needed.
> Review all product specifications and drawings for clarity and completeness.
> Perform part and product reviews to ensure compliance to specifications. This includes both internal and external analysis/measurement.
> Review products for manufacturability and assembly; provide feedback and work with design engineers to ensure designs meet DFM/A guidelines (including identification of critical characteristics) prior to initial release.
> Facilitate supplier process capability studies to ensure continual part compliance thru product life cycle.
> Effectively summarize and communicate all noncompliance and RISK to LegrandAV management actively pursuing clear and appropriate risk-based decision-making following company policy.
Supplier Quality Assurance:
Supplier Development Engineers serve as the focal point for ALL items relative to Quality Assurance within LegrandAV supply base. The duties and accountabilities are as follows:
> Develop and maintain risk-based products and process audit plans and instruct inspection/audit personnel on this function.
> Perform supplier qualification/assessment audits and provide input into new supplier qualification activities.
> Serve as primary liaison for all non-conforming product dispositions and corrective action initiation/closure.
> Actively participate in the supplier management process with Sourcing, continuously evaluating performance metrics identifying opportunities for continual improvement in Quality, Cost and Delivery
> Review all process and product specifications (including engineering changes) to ensure they are complete, clear, and effective.
> Assist with the creation, development, and implementation of company processes and procedures.
Process Development:
Supplier Development Engineers are internal subject matter experts (SME) for one or more key manufacturing processes. Their responsibilities in this area are:
> Create and maintain master control plans for each critical process.
> Create and maintain risk-based process audit criteria ensuring audit plans for inspection/audit personnel effectively monitor supplier compliance.
> Train and mentor inspection/audit staff on process auditing
> Analyze supplier process performance data and work with suppliers on continuous improvement activities.
> Create and maintain the Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/A) guidelines and checklists, including standard tolerances with capabilities and standard materials.
> Train and mentor design engineers and supplier development engineers on DFM/A guidelines and checklists
VAVE (Value Engineering &Value Analysis):
> Create cost reduction ideas during the whole Product Life
>Collaborate with suppliers to analyze their manufacturing process/materials cost and identify cost saving opportunities.
> Present cost reduction ideas to AP and US stakeholders.
>Support PD by generating design alternatives to achieve the product cost targets.
> Work with PD team, Project management team, souring team to implement the cost saving opportunity once approves.
> Lead technical discussions in cross functional meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
> Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and writing) in English and Mandarin
> Thorough experience in Quality Assurance & Engineering with significant knowledge of critical to quality process control elements in key manufacturing processes (all or some); welding, stamping, die casting, machining, assembly, coating/painting, plastics, PCBA, Motor.
> Proven ability to facilitate continuous improvement within manufacturing processes.
> Proven ability to perform design for manufacturability/Assembly reviews (DFM/A)
> Proven ability to coach and develop others.
> Excellent METHODICAL troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
> Previous cost reduction by design improvement experience is desired.
> Persistence to challenge the existing knowledge and interest in product costs.
> Proven ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.
> Self-motivated, with ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs.
> Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills.
> Excellent project management and planning skills, while providing high attention to details
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
> Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or other related technical degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a position of quality or manufacturing engineer in a metal manufacturing environment or combination of relevant education and experience.
> Experience with PFMEA, and Control Plans.
Special Job Requirements:
> This position is a balance of peer level office work coupled to an evenly weighted amount of travel to specific supplier sites (mostly within driving distance from the office, though some air and international travel will be required) 60% travel estimated, 10% international/air.
> Must be available for international travel to U.S.
> Requires frequent availability and communication during non-standard business hours to communicate with global team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
> Experience with SolidWorks and SAP.
> Experience with automotive PPAP requirements or formal new model launch phase gate processes.
