Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job) :
This position plays critical role in earlier GTM stage, has deep understanding of consumer demand and past season hindsights (fact-based sell-in and sell-out), and lead team to provide future season Merchandise forecast. Responsible for Regional Bottom-up MFP (Merchandising Financial Plan) and align with Global’s Top-down MFP, identify the risk and opportunity to Global Planning Team and Regional Merchandising team on Merchandising Plan, ensure the Merchandising Plan can ultimately deliver the regional financial target on revenue and margin.
Key Result Areas :
the Category Planning Team is responsible for:
- Lead regional MFP & Support regional LRP: Partner with Regional Merchandising and Commercial organizations to drive the regional MFP (Merchandising Financial Plan). Interact with Global Planning to provide regional insights to LRP (5 Year Long Range Plan). Align to and challenge/influence top-down perspective from Global via regional insights and strategic distribution shifts.
- E2E demand / forecast management – channels roll up and validation of regional demand plans by categories maintaining seasonal forecast accuracy. Fill placeholders/ chase opportunities based on monthly OTB.
- Owns the responsible Category’s Forecast in earlier GTM stage: identify risk and opportunity area with quantified business impact, and Merchandising Plans to mitigate the risk, maximise the category sales revenue and margin
- Manage multi-seaon MFP (by SCO level and by channel), with historical sell-in/sell-out data, and future season SCO level Merchandising plan. Carryover style 18month rolling forecast (demand, supply and inventory rolling) to guide channel buyer’s buy decisions
- Demand Phasing: partner with Regional Merchandising team on the Product launch phasing reflected the true local market consumer demand. Own the SCO level demand phasing split (high volume styles delivery by batch), and ensure it’s embedded in the forecasting stage when handover to global planning team and capacity planning team
- Partner with Inventory Management team and Marketplace Planning team (planners and buyers) for demand and supply match, business insights sharing and critical business decisions
- OTB Tracking: tracking seasonal OTB spent status and ensure no over-bought vs OTB target
- Marketplace analysis: lead the team to build the business dashboard, have weekly ST review & insights sharing, share the timely consumer demand sights to regional and global teams

Experience:
- Retail and product expertise in the key markets in Asia
- Working knowledge of a P&L

Academic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor
- Minimum 3-5 years or above in retail industry
Language Proficiency:
- Be fluent in English
