Application Engineer, Home Tech

1.Provide technical support to the local sales office and customers in the product area of smartphone cover glass under the guidance of team manager and alignment with the business unit.

2.Transfer technologies and knowhow to the production sites of customers and support the whole quali-fication process of new projects.

3.Develop technical competence and knowledge in the field of smart phone cover glass processing and analytics to enable fast reaction to the internal and external customer requirements. Develop technol-ogies and knowhow in the field of chemical toughening of smart phone cover glass by various analyti-cal methods and by close cooperation with SCHOTT factories.

4.Organize technical evaluation of new products as well as the competitor benchmark testings, and make continuous optimization and improvement on the performance of products with the close cooper-ation with SCHOTT factories.

5.Prepare reports for all customer activities & lab evaluations, and presentations for projects, with high quality standard and time measures.

6.Responsible for safety, 5S, equipment maintenance and SOPs etc.in the labs and offices.

Your Profile:

1.Bachelor or above (with +2-years working experience) in Materials, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineer-ing.

2.Knowledge of smart phone cover glass and its applications, and working experience with the pro-cessing and qualification of smart phone cover glass.

3.Proven analytical skills on compositions and mechanical performance of inorganic materials.

4.Problem solving capability in a dynamic environment

5.Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills

6.Self-motivated with good organization skills

7.Fluent in English and Chinese, with both written and oral communication skills.
