85 Collaborate with the design team to understand and interpret design sketches and specifications, providing input on pattern feasibility and construction.
85 Create patterns for various garment types, including tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, and accessories, ensuring patterns are accurate, well-structured, and fit within the specified size range.
85 Understand and consider relationship between pattern/material usage/yields during pattern creation which relates to margin/costing.
85 Analyze and adjust existing patterns to improve fit, construction, and overall design aesthetics.
85 Develop and maintain a comprehensive pattern library including basic blocks/grading rules/principal pattern guidelines, ensuring patterns are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for future reference.
85 Conduct fittings and make necessary pattern adjustments based on feedback from the design and product merchandising team.
85 Work closely with the garment factory to ensure patterns are suitable for mass production, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
85 Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in pattern making and garment construction.
85 Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product merchandising team and garment factories, to ensure a seamless workflow.
