Amazon is seeking a highly analytical, meticulous and forward-thinking Senior Staff Accountant to become a key member of its Statutory Support Center based in Beijing. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Amazon corporate accounting teams across APAC to ensure high quality and timely deliverables in the statutory and financial compliance space.

Key job responsibilities

61 Preparing various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including statutory close support, analytics and supplementary financial analysis;

61 Supporting corporate accounting teams across APAC and global in preparing statutory financial statements;

61 Working closely with business partners across APAC and globally, to maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes;

61 Identifying and establishing process improvements;

61 Collaborating closely with Accounting and Technology teams to drive standardization and automation globally.

Basic qualifications

University degree in business/economics/accounting;

Above 5 years of experience with an emphasis on accounting, preferably, gained within an accounting firm or a medium to large international company, in a fast-paced and changing environment;

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, Alteryx, BlackLine, etc;

Fluent in business English, both verbal and written

Preferred qualifications

4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

CPA

Knowledge of Tableau

Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer;

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
