Beconnected China is a Shanghai based sourcing & trading company with European management. We are part of the Erve group, a company started in Belgium 30 years ago, who has over 50 license and sells garments to the major retailer in the market. Beconnected has 4 offices in India, Bangladesh, China and Ethiopia. We also have our company Beconnected Industrial, a label and print factory in Ethiopia. We offer professional know how of sourcing, buying and producing in the Far East & Africa. The office in China is next to the production in Asia responsible for sales, logistic and finance support to the other offices, as well as further client & country growth. In Shanghai we are located since 2008 and we have a team of 30 people.

We are looking for a new QA in our Shanghai office who will make sure our products are checked in each step along the process so the bulk process can take place smoothly.

We are looking for a QA whose main responsibilities are:

1. Conduct sample check on measurements, weight and workmanship to ensure all is according to customer’s requirements and Beconnected standards. Samples are development, fit, PP and shipment samples;

2. Make sure all is technical ok and possible in bulk production as well;

3. Make a report of each check add to database;

4. Ensure production of garments will match buyers’ quality standard and requirements by conducting all necessary checks before we start bulk production;

5. Advice merchandise team on sample adjustments;

6. Provide technical support to merchandisers/factories or buyers to ensure product quality;

7. Support in making size specifications, from scratch and grading as well;

8. When needed do in-line and final product inspections based on AQL standard against customers' quality manual/standards;

9. Assist and help factories to improve quality for the long term;

10. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Key Requirements

83 Computer experience required, including Microsoft Office. This mainly to make the reports on a computer;

83 Ability to read and comprehend instructions such as clients measurements, tech pack and quality manuals;

83 Strong attention to detail required;

83 Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;

83 Completed successfully a training on the quality process;

83 Approx. 6 years’ experience in quality control for a big trading company;

83 Experience in knit, especially underwear, swimwear, socks, and daywear;

83 Experience within retailers of the European export market;

83 Able to communicate in basic English.
