Job title: Product Development Assistant

Department: Product Development

Position summary:

The Product Development Assistant is responsible for external factory communication to bring in new products or update existing products. This position requires the ability to build strong external relationships and maintain on-going communication. Additionally, this position requires the ability to prioritize key workflow items.

Essential functions:

- Request for Quote (RFQ) new products

o Determine growth cycle of successful models with Senior Product Development Manager

o Including: new size, color, installation, and material

- Request for Information (RFI) all requirements with each product category to ensure successful product

launch

o RFI for designs that Senior Product Development Manager and Product Development Manager

approve from a pricing standpoint

o Coordinate samples and parts

- Request for Information (RFI) any additional product details on a case-by-case basis

- Evaluate and suggest suppliers that best fit company pricing and quality standards

- Launch all products with a quality mindset, while adhering to company and industry standards

- Assist with price negotiations

- Coordinate with Marketing and Data to ensure a smooth launch execution

- Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure products can meet production deadlines

- Communicate project status, updates, and potential roadblocks to senior leadership

- All other duties as assigned
