Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
61 Oversee the management of the Quzhou Rubber facility from Environment and Health & Safety (EHS)
61 This role plays a critical part in fostering a proactive EHS culture, minimizing risk, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
61 The EHS Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) program to ensure compliance with legal requirements, Metso’s internal directives, and CNS EHS non-negotiables, as following:
61 Compliance Management:
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and standards.
61 Conform to Metso’s Directives
- Implement and enforce Metso’s global EHS directives and corporate policies.
- Act as a liaison between local operations and CNS EHS leadership.
61 Incident Management
- Lead the investigation and root cause analysis of all EHS incidents and near misses.
- Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and corrective actions.
61 Legal Compliance
- Monitor and interpret EHS legislation and ensure all legal obligations are met.
- Coordinate with legal and regulatory bodies during inspections or audits.
61 EHS Assessment
- Conduct regular EHS assessments, job safety analyses, and site inspections.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplaces.
61 EHS Roadmap
- Develop and execute a strategic EHS roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Set short- and long-term objectives to improve EHS performance.
61 Performance Metrics & KPIs
- Define, track, and report on key EHS performance indicators.
- Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
61 High Potential Incident Review Process
- Facilitate reviews of high-potential incidents to identify systemic risks.
- Share lessons learned and implement preventive measures.
61 Internal Audits
- Plan and conduct internal EHS audits to ensure compliance and identify gaps.
- Support external audits and certification processes (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO
45001).
61 Management Review
- Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior management.
- Participate in management reviews to align EHS strategy with business priorities.

Networking & Relationships
61 Reports to Plant manager and dotted line to VP, CNS EHS.
61 Participates in developing and maintaining strong network of EHS
61 Works closely with all employees and stakeholders across manufacturing site Quzhou Rubber and CNS BA.
Qualification
61 Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
61 Master’s degree or postgraduate certification in EHS or Sustainability (preferred).
61 Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in EHS roles, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments.
61 Demonstrated experience in: regulatory compliance and audits; incident investigation and risk management; leading EHS initiatives and cross-functional teams.
61 Ability to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally at all levels.
61 Effective planning of all EHS activities.
61 Proven communication skills.
61 Ability to work in multinational and multicultural environment.
61 Ability to work under pressure, resilient personality.
61 Ability to work in changing environment.
61 Driving license.
61 Fluent communication in Chinese and English language
