Head of Global Design & Development

1. Responsible for the Design and Development of small domestic appliances and other similar products as assigned by the company

2. Lead the team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers in China and Europe

3. Delivery product solutions with samples and relevant documents as defined in the PDP

4. Planning of resources

5. Define tasks and allocate resources to achieve projects and department targets

6. Driving the communication links with internal and external stakeholders

7. Contact window for external customers and escalation level in case of problems

8. Define guidelines and lead the team in terms of design requirements, FMEA, validation and PLM

9. Responsible for the improvement of the team capabilities by continuous optimization and learning

10. Monitor department targets and ensure achievement

Experiences/Qualification/Background

1. Demonstrated success in leading & managing a development team for consumer products

2. Master’s degree in electrical engineering

3.10 plus years in directly managing a team

4. Experience in small domestic appliances is a plus

5. Knowledge of project and resource management

6. Able to manage multiple key projects simultaneously

7. Fluent in English, good presentation skills

8. Knowledge in Mandarin a plus

9. Development of hardware and/or software for IoT is a plus
