This role will be responsible for leading innovative operational solution designs from a technical and commercial aspect for both prospective and existing customers. The Solutions Design Manager will also be responsible for utilizing a standard methodology (Program Design System – PDS) to implement designs within Unipart locations across the APAC.

Education/Experience/Skills
？ Bachelor’s Degree preferred
？ Requires more than 3 years’ experience in Solutions design, warehouse modeling, project management
？ Strong understanding of logistics or manufacturing solution Design
？ Experience in production logistics
？ Experience in line side logistics
？ Experience in using costing tools
？ Excellent oral and written communication skills
？ Strong presentation skills and the ability to build credibility with clients and stakeholders
？ Advanced Excel and Data Analytical tools
？ Digital, coding, programming knowledge

Key Responsibilities
？ Understanding our customer’s need and business requirements
o Prospective customers; how an operation should be laid out within a new/existing facility, labor planning, cost modeling and associated risks and issues
o Existing clients; reviews of existing operations, how they could be enhanced operationally (layout, improved information/interface) with the purpose of reducing cost and enhancing customer service.
？ Undertake Solution Design assignments to include
o Scoping
o Data requirements
o Warehouse modeling
o Transport modeling
o Sensitivity analysis/scenario testing
o User interface design/model testing
o Digitization and automation modelling
o Coding and programming knowledge
？ Delivery of projects to defined time and quality standards
？ Effective communication on project progress and issues to all stakeholders, including views on how they are to be resolved
？ Development of own skill set to retain professional competence and marketability
？ Maintain in-depth knowledge of competence are and Unipart Way Standards
？ Project delivery including project t set-up and definition, budget, risk management, team working, timeline planning and overall deliver.
？ Ensure that all implementations are reported and available for governance
？ Other duties as assigned

？ Broad understanding of the application of all the Unipart Way Tools and lean approach

？ Ensure the application of Solution Design best practice and the PDS methodology underpins the delivery of all projects.
Financial Performance
？ Full responsibility for the accurate assessment of a Target Operating Model and the implementation cost of each project from a time, quality and cost perspective measured against agreed business requirements.
Key Relationships
？ Develop close relationships with the Head of Solutions Design, Unipart Logistics and the Unipart Program Manager for APAC Market (UK based employees)
？ Partner with APAC Commercial, Operational and Business Development teams within the APAC market for successful design solutions
？ Work with customer teams and potentially present to senior members of current and/or prospective clients
？ Work with external suppliers to reach an agreed solution
