Key areas of accountability:

Structure the commodity strategy: segmentation, market assessment & trends, supplier intelligence, build and manage a panel of best suppliers, supplier risk management, supplier assessments, supplier selection and cost reduction and analysis of supplier economics.

Lead Purchasing team to manage source and develop suppliers with valuable performance.

Set up objective and achievement plan for purchasing team, regularly communicate with team members.

Sourcing and develop new supplying resource within the responsible commodities , ensure the supplier selection is within guidelines set by PSS Purchasing strategy and destined manufacturing site(s).

Negotiate supplier’s contract, contentiously make cost reduction and source model optimization.

Manage the execution of the strategy through a convergence plan and new business allocation.

Contribute in the assigned projects; ensure achievements of purchasing targets at various project milestones.

Manage changes in the project ramp-up, ensure material supply for TR.

Suppliers overall performance management and performance improvement.

Build up the material strategy within the responsible commodities.

Support Logistics team on programs ramp-up and ramp-down.

Other tasks assigned from manager.

Job scope:

Work with people across at all levels of the organization and external parties, lead purchasing team on daily operations.

Decisions are made with professional knowledge and have partly impacts to purchasing team.

Tasks can be different and require prompt and accurate judgment.

Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity.

Negotiate and implement general agreements with global suppliers.

Ensure the reporting of his or her activities following defined policies.

Provide input to Acquisition Teams for his/her commodities.

Qualification:

Academic/Professional Qualification: Bachelor degree, with enough knowledge about metal/Package/NPR components

Working Experience: 8-10 years above in components purchasing/sourcing position.

Expertise/Skills: metal/Package/NPR components sourcing experience, good cost and supplier management skills,

Language skills: Fluent in English (both writing and verbal) and Mandarin

Personal Attributes: Integrity, proactive, quick learning ability and good team work , mature, systematic, good leadership, can-do attitude, able to deliver commitment, can have frequent travel
