?Lead Engineering Team for Engineering projects deliverables

?Attend Global Engineering meetings and update the global team as Engineering Director’s advice and agenda topics

?Cascade company’s updates to Engineering Team in China

?Define Engineer’s KPIs under Engineering Director’s supervision

?Following HR procedure and report Engineer’s performance as will be instructed

?Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and systems for purpose-built trucks.

?Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).

?Apply analytical methods including calculations and simulations, for modules design, optimization and mechanical components and perform the methods to validate the designs (e.g., FEA, CFD).

?Conduct BOM integration, develop and maintain ECR approval flow on SolidWorks PDM

?Brainstorm and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with hydraulics, electrical and software systems

?Propose and create new solutions for purpose-built customized truck’s modules.

?Develop prototypes of mechanical components and systems.

?Plan and conduct tests to validate design performance, durability, and compliance with automotive standards.

?Analyze test results and iteratively improve designs based on findings.

?Lead and manage assigned design projects from concept design through final hand over to production.

?Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met on schedule.

?Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.

?Update the centralized engineering Gantt Chart based on assigned projects and detailed activities.

?Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.

?Provide technical support during the production process, including troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues.

?Continuously seek opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

?Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, BOMs, and technical reports.

?Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, SAE).

?Participate in design reviews and ensure proper documentation of design changes.

Key qualifications

?Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

?8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.

?Proven experience to lead the Engineering Team

?Proven experience with CAD software and engineering analysis tools. (Specifically, SolidWorks, Catia & AutoCAD)

?Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and quality assurance methodologies.

?100% fluent in English (Writing & Speaking) and Mandarin – Subject to interview with local teams.

?Strong proven leadership Skills.

?Proven experience of design and release engineering projects.

?Proven experience of the relevant accomplished projects in mechanical design – one to three projects should be presented during the interview.

?Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

?Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
