R&D Mechanical Engineer研发结构工程师

The team is responsible for the R&D of SCHURTER productions in the whole region.

*The role

The primary responsibility for this role is New fuse product development and realization from idea/concept to product launch.

SCHURTER is now looking for an fuse design engineer to join our office in Shenzhen, China. We07re looking for a self-motivated person with a positive, flexible and pragmatic mindset. *Roles & responsibilities：

1. Develop fuse new platform product based on the requirement from marketing team or specific product to meet customer’s requirement complying with industry standard.

2. Perform design verification via necessary approach such as prototyping; simulation; DOE; FMEA to mitigate technical risk

3. Take care of design for manufacture and design to cost

4. Create all the deliverables such as 3D；2D in line with company standard and maintain the data in teams center.

5. Take care of component and product validation, finding optimization measures to meet the target functions through the product and production release phase.

6. Other tasks on demand or assigned by line manager.

*Skills & experience ：

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field

- Above 5 years mechanical design experience from the field of over current protection components or connector/switch

- Skilled in 3D; 2D CAD tools

- In-depth knowledge of relevant standard IEC60417 /UL 248 and AEC-Q200

- Much experience of designing the critical features such as melting element; fuse body ; caps; terminals and fillers to achieve high performance at efficient cost level.

- Plus if with strong know-how about the raw material selection such as engineering plastic and copper; contact physics and thermal simulation

- In-depth understanding of design for manufacture knowledge such as molding; stamping; plating and metal joint technology

- Well understanding and implementation of new product development milestone process

-Good written and reading English, preferable for good verbal English communication skills;

-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook;

- Self-driven and reliable; juggle a multitude of tasks some with very short notice. Non-prestigious and humble person who understands that running a fast-growing/innovation company.

-Good Communication capability and team spirit.

-Accommodate occasional travel
