Currently we are looking for an APAC Brand Manager located in
Shenzhen. The ideal candidate has already profound experience working
with premium brands, preferably within the beauty industry in brand management and marketing, as well as product development. He/She needs to be able to plan strategically and holistically on brand and product management level, but also to execute operationally in terms of driving regional marketing activities and product development depending on the situation.
The role requires a business savvy strategist with a strong creative sense for brands, critical and solution-oriented thinking, analytical skills and strong hands-on mentality. He/She should have a natural connection to our products and a deep understanding of local consumers and trends. Next to that he/she should have profound experience in developing and managing a new brand entering the China market within a defined budget.
APAC Brand Management
73 define and execute brand strategy in APAC in accordance to global
guideline
73 drive brand success story to increase brand awareness leading to
sales growth with strong focus on Greater China area
73 define, introduce, and manage all brand-related collateral (including,
but not limited to photo, video, text, presentation)
73 provide in-depth analysis of markets, consumer behavior and
business trends to define and shape brand image
APAC Marketing
73 develop and execution annual integrated brand marketing plans in
cooperation with regional stakeholders
73 analyse, understand, and translate market data, trends as well as
consumer needs into marketing strategies
73 define marketing strategy for international brands combining western
heritage and Asian needs to ensure long term brand success
Cross functional & Team Management
73 support executives in preparing data for internal business meetings
73 plan and execute annual Brand & Region meetings presenting product
and market trends to internal stakeholders
73 represent company in internal cross-company projects
73 lead team of 6 talents by example, ensure their continuous
development and monitoring
73 ensure annual performance reviews are conducted in a professional
and timely manner
73 ensure correct and timely realisation of projects involving cross-
functional stakeholders
73 support regional sales in preparation and execution of key customer
meetings
73 act as a brand and product owner to continuously build brand
awareness
73 support team in performing their roles by demonstrating an attitude
of leadership, responsiveness
Budget
73 develop annual brand, marketing and product development budget
following the company’s guidelines
73 ensure regular reporting of your budget figures to regional senior
management
73 manage cost centres for brand management, marketing and product
development team
Requirements:
73 min. 10 years working experience in FMCG, ideally beauty and/or
beauty related industry – international premium brand expertise is a
plus
73 experience in introducing and managing a foreign brand in China is a
plus
73 min. 5 years’ experience in leading a team
73 experience in working within cross functional environments
73 great understanding of the China beauty market, trends, and
developments
73 great understanding of the importance of brand management
through online channel activities
73 experience in launching brand from zero and continuously growing
brand awareness
73 ability to lead and execute a product development project from
briefing to (post) launch
73 strong understanding of local marketplace, trends, competition, and
consumer habits/needs
73 ability to balance thinking strategically and executing operationally
73 excellent skills in organizing, analyzing, and presenting data to senior
management
73 strong eye for details and beauty aesthetics
73 ability to work autonomously, agile & under pressure
