Position Summary:
The VAVE Electrical Engineer role at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment dedicated to innovation and excellence. You will lead and support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) programs, focusing on cost reduction and an improvement in quality for our world-class lab equipment systems.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
61 Lead and take responsibility for design optimization of VAVE projects, managing updates of PCBA/HLA and electrical component designs to improve quality and cost.
61 Follow the global engineering change process, taking responsibility for electrical component/sub-system development, including concept, specifications, and feasibility prototype/testing.
61 Design and detail electrical components and sub-systems according to specifications, conducting predictive analysis and calculations.
61 Detail schematics/PCB layout incorporating Design for (mass) Manufacturing and Design for Assembly/Testing requirements.
61 Successfully interact with key group members in Software, Mechanical, and System Engineering.
61 Provide technical support to sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional departments.
61 Conduct supplier design reviews and ensure adequacy of supplier part qualifications.
61 Participate and lead workshops to develop arguments and frameworks for cost reduction.
61 Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams through all phases of the supplier transfer process.
职位要求：
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
61 Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Automation, or Physics Engineering or equivalent experience.
61 Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
61 Minimum of 5+ years in manufacturing engineering.
61 Proficiency in Electronics, digital electronics, and Microprocessors.
61 Familiarity with Pads/Altium, and proficiency in PLC or firmware programming is a plus.
61 Knowledge of PCB layout, processing, and testing techniques.
61 Experience crafting, interpreting, and modifying schematic drawings.
61 Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
61 Proficient in both oral and written English.
61 Self-motivated individual with a mature and responsible nature.
