Tasks:

· Field service technicians build/install mechanical, electrical and electronic components, assemble them into complex systems, install control software, commission and maintain the systems.

Knowledge and activities:

· Plan and prepare work tasks, read technical documents (e.g. production, assembly, circuit, installation, function and maintenance plans, operating and operating instructions).

· Install or convert components of mechanical and electrical systems.

· Check and commission automation-based systems.

· Maintain and repair automation systems and machines.

· Evaluation of cycle data from productions and services.

· Optimization of procedures and processes.

· Instruct and train customers.

· Carry out activities in technical support.

· Documentation and Reporting.

Skills:

Mechanics:

· Evaluate or prepare technical documents, e.g. technical drawings.

· Plan and execute installations, e.g. for the conversion or modification of systems.

· Assemble prefabricated assemblies and housing parts for machines, plant parts and technical systems.

· Lay hydraulic hoses, gas pipes and electrical cables.

· Check the location of a system and plan fixings and anchors

· Inspection and maintenance plans, check operating systems, replace defective or wear parts.

Electric:

· Be able to read and understand electric diagrams

Software:

· MS Office 365

Other Qualifications

· B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering or other applicable fields.

· Minimum 5 years of experience from technical/engineering roles and large equipment installation/maintenance

· Experience with field installation for large equipment, especially with heat treatment and casting equipment

· Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge

· Good communication skills and ability to build customer relations

· The ability to travel and stay at customer sites for shorter or longer periods (from a few days up to a few months)

· Fluent English both spoken and written is a must
