职位描述
SUMMARY
Support the activities of product development from both mechanical design and manufacturing perspective. Work with internal project teams and local supplier to ensure product development on time and meet parameters from design hand-off to mass production.
Level I: works with guidance from senior engineers, basic knowledge of category
Level II: able to work with little guidance, good knowledge of category
Level III: able to work with no guidance, mentors and trains lower level engineers, category expert
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan and conduct engineering research, design, and development tasks for mechanical parts and assemblies.
2. Research, evaluate, and choose materials and processes to be applied to new and existing products.
3. Create and modify engineering specification packages to ensure products meet parameters.
4. Serve as a technical resource to other departments as necessary.
5. Assist project manager to follow up project progress and ensure project on-time.
6. Perform engineering research, testing and development assignments of complexity and variety.
7. Travel as necessary both domestically and internationally (SEA, US, EU).
8. Complete project tasks using Trek’s internal systems.
9. Effectively balance multiple projects, tasks simultaneously.
10. Assist legal department with patents and related issues for new and existing product.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
2. Self-driven, self-discipline w/ great innovation mindset.
3. Proficient mechanical aptitude and CAD modeling abilities – Proficiency with OnShape, SW or Pro/E preferred.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to interact effectively with domestic and international teammates.
5. Attitude that fosters continuous improvement and flexibility.
6. Proficient planning and organization skills, initiative, accountability, and attention to details.
7. Competent computer database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing abilities.
8. Computer aided engineering skills including simulation programs, mathematical modeling, and analysis programs a plus.
9. Committed to building effective and healthy professional relationship with internal and external customers/partners.
10. Passion for cycling and outdoor activities will be a plus.
