Why this role

Manaflex designs and manufactures current collector assemblies (CCA), busbars, and related EV battery components. You will own mechanical design from concept to ramp—CATIA-driven CAD, drawings, DFM—and lead technical discussions with customers while coordinating tightly with internal teams to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule.

What you’ll do

61 Own part & assembly design in CATIA (V5/V6/3DEXPERIENCE) for CCAs, busbars, insulation stacks, adhesives/PSA layers, and plated finishes.

61 Generate production-ready drawings (ASME Y14.5 GD&T), tolerance analyses, BOMs preferred

61 Lead customer design reviews; capture requirements, present trade-offs, and drive design sign-off.

61 Partner cross-functionally with Project Management, Account/Commercial, Quality, and Production to align scope, schedule, cost targets, and risks.

61 Drive DFM/DFA with suppliers for stamping/forming, machining, lamination/die-cut, plating (Ni/Ag/Cu), welding/brazing, and assembly.

61 Perform analyses (strength/thermal) and tolerance stacks; coordinate advanced FEA when needed

61 Define materials/finishes (Al/Cu/Ni/SS, polyimide, FR4, adhesives), cleanliness & flammability requirements.

61 Support prototype builds, FAT/SAT, and ramp; lead structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why) with Quality & Production.

61 Track design schedule, risks, and costs with PM; provide crisp status updates to internal/external stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

61 BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with 6–10+ years in high-volume metal/laminate components (auto/EV/industrial).

61 Expert in CATIA (surface/solid modeling, drawings, assembly management); comfortable in 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA or equivalent PLM.

61 Nice to have: Strong GD&T (ASME Y14.

5) and tolerance analysis; proven record releasing drawings to production.

61 Demonstrated customer-facing communication—clear design justifications, requirement negotiation, and issue resolution.

61 Deep DFM/DFA for forming, CNC, lamination/die-cut, plating, welding; hands-on with suppliers in Asia & US.

61 Nice to have: exposure to battery/EV components, busbar insulation systems, reel-to-reel plating, automation/equipment integration.
