Credit Specialist (Contractor)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Credit Representative to join our team in Shanghai. In this role, you will provide technical support for managing, controlling, and reviewing all aspects of credit and accounts receivable processes. Your primary goal is to ensure timely billing and collections for shipped products while strategically managing credit risk. This position requires collaborative skills to effectively minimize credit risk and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures during collection activities.

Secure payments post-billing, confirm customer payments, and update collection statuses.

Investigate cases of non-payment or delayed payment.

Review and release customer orders placed on hold, as necessary.

Prioritize collection cases for follow-up, escalate to appropriate teams as per escalation procedures, and liaise with collection agencies or lawyers when required.

Assist customers with invoicing inquiries and resolve issues with outstanding obligations.

Maintain accurate credit master data within the SAP system.

Prepare and submit business intelligence (BI) reports.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of credit and collections processes, along with adherence to established procedures.

Proven ability to secure payments efficiently and manage accounts receivable.

Analytical skills to research and resolve payment delays or disputes.

Ability to manage customer orders held for credit approvals and ensure timely resolution.

Proficient in prioritizing tasks, following escalation protocols, and coordinating with external collection agencies or legal counsel when needed.

Working knowledge of SAP and experience maintaining credit master data.

Competency in preparing and analyzing BI reports.

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to maintain customer relationships while mitigating credit risk.
