As a Lean Supervisor, he/she will be responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Key responsibilities include:
1. Continuous Improvement Culture:
- initiative and promote a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization, encouraging employees at all levels to actively participate in lean activities.
- Ensure that continuous improvement becomes an integral part of the company’s operations and long-term strategy.
2. Target setting and monitoring of annual Lean objective:
- Define annual lean roadmap based on global and company strategy & objective. Work with team to explore opportunities to realize defined goals.
- Break down roadmap with resolution of quarter level and push for dynamic adjustments to mitigate deviations and ensure overall target.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to quantify the financial benefits of Lean initiatives.
3. Project leading
- Lead VSM/VSD initiatives with bird-view to explore opportunities from such as process/technology innovation, line balance, layout optimization, Pull system, Anton, etc.
- Work with workshop to continuously eliminate waste and improve productivity by 5S, TPM, SMED, etc.
4. Data analysis and reporting
- Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and success of Lean initiatives.
- Coordinate & align with global lean team and brother factories to ensure effective path and lean conversion.
5. Problem solving
- Utilize professional methodologies to solve problems in terms of quality issues, efficiency and process streamlines, to ensure problem solving radically with sustainability.
6. Training & coaching
- Provide Lean training and coaching to team members at all levels of the organization, ensuring the principles and practices of Lean are understood and embraced.
- Coach and mentor team members to preside over lean activities, promoting the progress of all key staff in methodology and practical operation.
7. Sustainability & Compliance:
- Ensure that Lean practices align with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (safety *** – zero harms concept).
- Regularly review processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Skills and qualifications requirement:
1. Bachelor’s degree with major in industrial engineering and mechanical engineering or other similar areas,
2. Lean related working experience with at least 5 years, hands on operation & project will be a must,
3. Be familiar with main lean methodologies, such as VSM, PULL system, TPM, SMED, Andon, etc,
4. Be familiar with project-based business mode, large steel structure background will be preferred,
5. Can use MS for daily work and VSM drawing,
6. English can be used as working language,
7. Good communication and work under pressure, adapt to work within multinational environment.
