Job Position Summary:
The AME Advanced Manufacturing Leader is part of the global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team that execute the strategy and vision of Garrett product manufacturing defining the processes, methods and standards applied across plants. She/He is responsible to define the manufacturing processes of Garrett Zero Emission Technologies (ZET) Electric Drive Systems. He need to drive Manufacturing Readiness Level deliverables thru NPI process with support of technology experts and manage the ontime development, validation and delivery of new manufacturing capabilities with plant manufacturing engineering team.
Job Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction （NPI）
1. Drive on time publication of Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) deliverables thru NPI Phase 1 to 6 and establish initial Risk assessment on new product Manufacturability, track progress and updates thru all NPI phases in collaboration with Advanced Technology leaders for any new technology introduction （module + lead application）
2.Support NPI teams and Engineering to capture new technologies in NPI Ph1-6 and consolidate requirements
3. Attend *** prototype build events and report manufacturing roadblocks and opportunities for product design improvements
4. Attend Phase Exits and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews with Product Engineering and Product Assurance
5. Drive Make analysis, summarize Manufacturing Plans (process flow, kpis) & consolidate Capex need (Equipments, toolings)
6. Drive initial creation of Generic Process FMEA, evaluate risks and define action plan to reduce RPN scores
7. Validate ODT & PPAP results
8. Support definition and maintenance of documentation for technology systems and processes (Process Instructions, Quality Control Inspection)
9. Update Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines for new technologies
Manufacturing processes development
1. Cooperate with Advanced Technology Leaders to define the manufacturing equipment's and processes for EDS - Mechanical Assembly and Testing
2. Define specification book for new manufacturing and test lines introduction and equipment upgrades
3. Drive manufacturing line development with suppliers, ensure design reviews and validate equipment’s thru acceptance test phases
4. Conduct Handover with plant Manufacturing Engineering and NPI team by supporting installation, commissioning and validation of new processes
5. Support AME Technical Managers in defining the strategy & vision over AOP and STRAP by proposing technical roadmap & related capital investment
6. Drive globally the standardization of manufacturing processes with plants
7. Define & implement projects to improve HSE, Quality, equipment efficiency and productivity using Lean mindset
8. Support panel supplier strategy for equipment purchase and implementation
9. Support Garrett plants acting as a technical professional to sort recurrent issues on processes, equipment, tools, quality and HSE and NPI
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical design or other engineering related major
2. At least 5y assembly manufacturing work experience in automotive industry, motor manufacturing experience is preferred
3. Knowledge in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma
4. Project management experience
5. Quick learner with good communication and problem-solving skill
6. English is working language
