ESS Validation Testing Engineer

1. Proven experience in battery pack testing management for more than 3 years is required. Experience in energy storage systems (ESS) is preferred.

2. Successful completion of at least 2 - 3 battery pack product testing management projects is required. Experience in ESS is preferred.

3. Familiarity with the structure, working principles, standards, regulations, etc. of ESS/battery packs, especially the testing requirements.

4. Familiarity with the testing process.

5. Good communication and teamwork skills, strong ability to analyze and solve problems, some project management abilities and be able to complete tasks on time;

6. English can be used as a working language (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and German communication is a Plus.

7. Bachelor's degree or above in fluid mechanics, mechanical engineering, electrochemistry, automotive engineering, or related fields is required. A master's degree is preferred.

8. More than 3 years of ESS testing/validation related work experience

9. Various experience with ESS battery development projects in practical cases

Job Responsibilities 工作职责

1. Develop and implement test plans to validate the performance and safety of battery packs and BESS.

2. Define and coordinate test requirements in close collaboration with the development and quality departments.

3. Conduct tests at various development stages, including functional, performance, environmental, and safety testing.

4. Analyze test results and document findings to support continuous product improvement.

5. Validate battery packs and BESS in accordance with relevant standards and customer specifications (e.g., IEC, UL, etc.).

6. Qualify components and systems by conducting comprehensive test series.

7. Monitor and perform lifecycle testing to ensure long-term reliability of systems.

8. Conduct root cause analysis in case of test failures and malfunctions to identify and resolve technical issues.

9. Collaborate with development teams to optimize designs based on test results.

10. Recommend corrective actions and oversee their implementation to address product defects early.

11. Coordinate and collaborate with external test labs and facilities to meet external validation requirements.

12. Work closely with internal departments such as development, quality management, and production to integrate test results efficiently into the development process.

13. Prepare detailed test reports and validation documents for internal and external stakeholders.

14. Present test results to project management and development leadership.

15. Ensure thorough and proper documentation of all testing and validation activities.
