SUMMARY OF ROLE
As a key member of China Management team, the Finance Director will report to the Business Segment(BuS) CFO with dot-line to Traction China Business Leader. The Finance Director will act as a business partner to the relevant business manager and leads local finance teams to optimize the financial performance within an assigned business area. This role will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives and will showcase financial expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
61 Partner with management team to develop both long-term and short term financial and business plan.
61 Oversees the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serves as the interface to Local and Global management.
61 Ensure the credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
61 Lead regular cadence of financial meetings with corporate
61 Leadership to assure we have a robust comprehensive costing and price process.
61 Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
61 Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
61 Establish and maintain strong relationships with management team to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions, synergizing cost functional benefits.
61 Provide executive management with guidance on the financial implications of business activities, based on ROI, pay-back and strategic needs.
61 Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and Actual consolidation and reporting to the BuS, Platform and HQ.
61 Take the lead in ensuring DOA and SOD are in place and maintained. Guide business users through Japanese approval processes and prepare detailed business cases.
61 Ensure continuous improvement and standardization of processes.
61 Work closely with HR to manage costs relating to headcount. Collaborate with HR to provide the financial matrix for bonuses which align the employees goals with the financial goals of the corporation. pay-out reviews annually.
61 Evaluate and evolve systems, reports and tools to ensure that the team has all necessary data.
61 Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
61 Lead and develop the finance team within the business unit. Create a culture of continuous learning by ensuring all team members have individual development plans.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
61 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
61 BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA (or equivalent such as ACCA) is preferred
61 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in global Manufacturing sector- working closely with multiple cultures, currencies and local laws.
61 Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
61 Exceptional communication skills with strong interpersonal and presentation skills- delivering clear and concise messages to multiple management groups.
61 Results-oriented with high achiever motivation. Sets high expectations and achieves stretch goals.
61 Strong analytical ability and critical thinker to develop strategy.
61 Advanced computer skills in MS Office and accounting software are required- skilled Excel and PowerPoint use is necessary. Experience with Oracle, Fourth Shift, other ERP’s, Business planning consolidation, and sales force CRM are preferred.
