61 Lead sourcing for new business, ensuring all programs are successfully launched on time on cost – removing obstacles and making things happen. Presenting sourcing recommendations at global sourcing council forums

61 Leading negotiations – creating programs to achieve business targets, specifically for annual Cost Reductions

61 Develop complex Cost Models to understand "should" costs. Lead commodity benchmarking (internal & external) and fluency in cost drivers and associated cost analysis.

61 Develop, communicate and obtain approval for local commodity strategy in support of the global commodity strategy - execute sourcing strategy to deliver products with best-in-class technology, quality, service, and cost.

61 Lead Supplier identification, screening, and selection (including supporting technical, financial, and quality reviews), developing short, mid and long-term supplier business roadmaps

61 Support global purchasing team in sourcing product to China Suppliers and lead the commercial interface with China Suppliers for export businesses

61 Identify Cost Reduction opportunities to realize savings

61 Benchmarking data base and key cost driver analysis, Capacity analysis at suppliers

61 VA/VE, Product/process improvements, Implementation of new technologies

61 Execution of competitive sourcing process, Commodity market trends

61 Monitor Supplier Performance including Quality, Delivery, Cost & Technology – update Strategy to drive continuous improvement

61 Work closely with Manufacturing, Advanced Purchasing and Engineering in support of Cost Estimating/Quotation process. Initiate and gather quotations from suppliers in support of customer inquiries or cost savings initiatives.

61 Work collaboratively with all business units: collaborating at all levels, networking to maximize results.

QUALIFICATIONS

·Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business equivalent.

·At least 5 years purchasing experience and 3 years commodity manager experience with a manufacturing background in one of the following areas: forging, casting, machining

·Prefer someone with exposure to the off-highway, heavy truck, automotive industries

·Purchasing certification or advanced degree is considered a plus

·Familiar with all computer tools，ERP skill and capable of generating detailed reports

·Familiar with QS/9000, TS 16949 requirements

·Familiar with international purchasing

·Fluent in written and spoken English

·Willing to travel
