System Design & Test Engineer

61 Our organization plays a key role in ensuring the quality standards at Customer are exceeded and making sure that our customers are happy with the performance and experience of the products they use.

61 Members of this team will lead the design of custom hardware testing fixtures, software (firmware and/or FPGA IP), and instruments that are critical to Customer’s product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

61 Test fixture hardware design and integration with test instruments, implementation of product testing on new Customer products from prototype to mass production

61 Work closely with the system design and diagnostics teams early in the product development lifecycle to learn the system architecture and provide suggested tests for functionality and performance

61 Be the technical expert for designing, understanding, presenting, communicating and debugging, the system testing and testing processes of Customer product

61 Act as a key liaison between our organization and the Contract Manufacturers to ensure that our test station hardware and software is validated and ready for manufacturing testing

61 Documentation of tests and developing/executing product test plans, specifying test stations and diagnostics for testing product features, and implementing test process control and parametric data collection.

Key Qualifications

61 B.S. EE (or similar) with 3+ years of experience

61 Good understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics hardware architectures and design

61 Experience in schematic & PCB layout design using Allegro or a similar CAD tool

61 Ability to design and debug complex electrical schematics and PCB layouts and propose clear, relevant experiments

61 Working knowledge of USB

3.2, USB-PD, Display Port, PCIe, I2C, SPI technologies and protocols, and design

61 Good oral & written communication skills - be able to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely to various cross functional teams and leadership.

61 Nice to have - Prior experience with bed of nails test fixture and designing custom test instruments

61 Prior experience of performing parametric data statistical analysis (CPK, GRR etc)

61 Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up-to 20% of the time; estimated 8-10 days per trip

61 Prior technical leadership and/or project management experience
