Position Title: Finance Operations Manager
Department: Finance
Reports To: Financial Controller
Location: Shanghai, China
Position Summary:
An international brand in Shanghai is seeking an experienced manager to oversee compliance within Finance Operations. The primary responsibilities include ensuring that business operations adhere to statutory requirements and company policies, providing compliance guidance on new initiatives, and conducting compliance-related training for stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with various departments to accomplish deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure business operations comply with statutory requirements and company policies (such as Travel & Entertainment [T&E], Payments, Approval Matrix, etc.).
Drive initiatives and actions to continuously enhance controls, particularly focusing on critical areas like employee reimbursement and payment management.
Provide ongoing consultation, handle inquiries, and partner with key stakeholders (e.g., Retail Operations, Product & Development [P&D], Marketing, etc.).
Develop, design, and execute specific compliance training programs.
Offer consultation and raise awareness during the implementation and adoption of new requirements and/or changes to key controls.
Oversee compliance for the setup of new business models and internal projects.
Coordinate with relevant government offices for data/information requirements.
Assist internal and external auditors in conducting audits and follow up on remediation plans.
Proactively identify new initiatives to improve efficiency.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
CPA or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preference for candidates with an audit background.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
Experience working for a sizable multinational corporation (MNC), ideally in a commercial and retail setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word & Excel, including knowledge of V-Lookup, Pivot Tables & Functions).
Familiarity with Finance Systems, with preference given to those with experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP system.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with senior business executives and immediate team members alike.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
