General Description:
This is a new position based in Shanghai that will be part of the global Auto OEM Segment Team, the position holder will be responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships and sustainable growth with Global/Regional Chinese Automotive OEM Accounts
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at major Chinese automotive accounts (e.g. BYD, Geely, GWM)
- Drive and steer sustainable sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding product portfolios with Chinese automotive accounts in line with ECT Auto OEM strategy
- Develop global key account plans for selected Chinese Automotive accounts
- Provide regular updates and reports on account performance, including sales/margin figures, market/competitor intelligence, customer feedback and innovation needs from Chinese OEMs
- Steer GKA business performance globally and orchestrate customer facing units and management of issues. Stay informed of operational matters to liaise with customers
- Drive and own margin management for GKA
- Plan customer price actions based on guidance from global segment and regional marketing
- Lead RFQ negotiations and drive global contract negotiations to capture optimal market value and ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company
- Work closely with internal functions such as Sales, Marketing, Segment, Technology, Product Management, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless service and product delivery
- Oversee, manage and ensure successful launch of new customer plants incl. facilitation and coordination of projects with internal stakeholders globally with selected accounts
- Drive product approvals at customers, orchestrating implementation across regions
- Utilize deep understanding of Chinese business culture and practices to foster strong and effective collaboration between teams in Asia-Pacific, EMEA/SA and North America
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Economics or Business Administration
- Several years of professional experience in the field of Surface Treatment, Coatings, Chemicals or Automotive Industry
- Good knowledge of strategic account management, technical sales or marketing
- Team player with prior experience in project management or team leadership experience
- Highly entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills in English and Chinese
- Overseas business travel experience is a benefit
- Willingness and ability to travel
